Today Scott and I arrived at Loon Lake in British Columbia, Canada. I am attending a three-day writing retreat presented by Lynn Palermo of the Family History Writing Studio.

Many of my Writing Sprint friends are here as well. So amazing to finally meet them in person after two years of working together online.
If this evening is any indication it’s going to be a fantastic few days. The dinner was tasty but the conversation was even better!
The venue is absolutely gorgeous. A lodge at the end of a two-mile dirt logging road. Yup. We’re out there! But we have internet!!! What more can you ask for?

Scott already planned his adventure for tomorrow. I made him add me to Find Friend so at least I’d have an idea of where he wanders. Of course, there’s no cell service here, so….
Tomorrow we get to work. I have no idea what to expect but I’m pretty certain my brain will full by the end of the day. It’s taken a long time for me to feel comfortable thinking about myself as a writer but I think this retreat will help me recognize that I am, in fact, a real writer. Our ID tags didn’t hurt either 😆

This is just a quick post because it’s after 10 pm and I want to be fresh for tomorrow when I put on new writing socks and slippers, wrap my writer’s scarf around my shoulders and dig in!!

Have a wonderful time honing your writing skills!
